Richard Blanchar, M.D. was named Official Town Physician in both 2003 & 2004 and is the Medical Director for Bayview General Medicine, located in the town of Lauderdale-By-The-Sea, Florida. He is a very well regarded and established physician in the community.
He received accolades from the Town of Lauderdale By The Sea for his continued dedication to the practice of medicine in the community, serving the health and well being of it’s citizens.
Richard Blanchar, M.D. graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Florida and went on to medical school at the University of South Florida. While at USF he studied Internal Medicine with a special focus on the field of Emergency Medicine. Richard Blanchar, M.D. has served as an Emergency Department physician in numerous local hospitals. This is where he gained his extensive hands-on experience in both fields of emergency and family medicine. He is a well established physician in Florida, practicing for over 30 years. Richard Blanchar, M.D. holds the title of both United States Civil Surgeon and FAA Certified Senior Aviation Medical Examiner. In addition to his Family Practice established in the 90s, Richard Blanchar, M.D. has begun developing the cosmetic aspect of the practice and has become a nationally recognized presence serving on advisory panels with doctors such as Neil Sadicke,Corey Moss, Alistair and Jean Carruthers as well as numerous other well respected individuals in the medical community..
His dedication to an in-depth knowledge of medicine has not stopped after medical school. He far surpasses the requirements for Continuing Education, participating in over 150 hours of Continuing Medical Education (CME) each year compared to the mandated minimum of 30 hours per year. It is just another reflection of his dedication and passion for learning and medicine.
